Different, but still unique, these small towns represent the cultural historical heritage of the Northern Coast. There are also two islets, Gospa od Skrpjela and St. Georgie, the two pearls of this area, big as much as just to offer some space to a small church. Tivat is a warm fishing town, known by its famous Porto Montenegro harbor, with the luxurious yachts and sailboats.
The peninsula Lustica, still undisturbed rural area, with plenty of old olive trees, offers first class home made products such as rakija-brandy “Maginjaca” and the extraordinary goat cheese. Touristic boat trips are offered from a place called “Zanjice” to the Blue Cave and island Mamula, where the fortress from the Austro-Hungarian Period is located, being used as a jail in the World War II.
The central coastal area is abundant in beautiful sandy beaches (Jaz, Trsteno, Ploce, Slovenska plaza, Becici, Kamenovo) with Budva in the centre-the metropolis of Montenegrin tourism. Here, in this part, coast is rich with hidden coves and small beaches, while on the other side, up in the forest slopes above the sea you will find few picturesque monasteries –Praskavica, Rezevici, Duljevo, Gradiste.
The most significant towns of the Southern Coast are Bar (the most urban one) and Ulcinj. Both of them have extremely interesting Old Towns and fortresses, located at the spectacularly attractive positions. Very well known Long Beach is spread along the 13 km area down to the border with Albania. Ada Bojana is located at the end of the beach with river Bojana and its confluence into the Adriatic Sea reaching the spot where the very last kilometers of Montenegrin Coast end.
